I'm not entirely sure if this is the appropriate spot for this thread, or if this should even be a thread at all, but reading Oyon's dhole posts reminded me of something I should have thought of.
Phuong is a bird. A large, awkward bird, essentially a pheasant. She can fly, but she can't fly that well. And she can run, but could you imagine a pheasant trying to outrun a dhole or a tiger? So I was wondering- do you guys have any idea of how she could both stay alive ICly and interact regularly with other non-herbivore characters? With the least suspension of disbelief possible? x|
EDIT: Actually, I have no idea how well monals can fly; I only compared them to pheasants because the two are closely related. But it's still a dilemma because there won't always be that convenient tree limb to fly up to, and then of course there are predators that can climb. :x

Herbivore/Carnivore RP has always been a touchy thing. Generally, I've found it best to accept the fact that RP between certain characters won't always be realistically possible. :/ Unless I'm feeling really creative and can come up with an appropriate situation.

That is a toughie. I would suggest employment by a group, but that smacks of TLK a bit much for my tastes.
The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is a wandering type with some sort of quest. That way, the character can interact with all species and types as they struggle to reach their goal. Group RP is sometimes sadly limiting.

Bora makes a good point- there are just some character types that go hand-in-hand with limited RP availability, I suppose. And no, I won't have her associate with any group for that purpose- actually, the danger there of being eaten would probably be even greater than if she remained by herself, mostly because she has almost no practical value or skills to speak of (and there's no point in aligning with a herbivore group, because that sort of misses the purpose).
On the bright side, this serves as a perfect excuse to make a new alt. x3

I plan on making a white tiger, inspired by Lennie from Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.
Want to be his "George"? XD

I'd be delighted. XD
It would have to be smaller than a tiger, of course, but did you have any particular animal in mind?

You can use Phuong. My tiger would let her ride on him, since she cannot fly well. :3

And of course, keep in mind that there's the possibility of interacting with a predator that has already eaten / isn't interested in going to the effort of chasing a bird. Think of those jungles all chock-full of birds tweeting their little hearts out; a single predator passing through couldn't possibly eat them all!

I have an image of a "tiger shark" running through a jungle trying to catch little birds in it's large, toothy mouth. It makes me giggle. >3

Or at least something along the lines of a predator not being hungry when it's full. XD

Shoot, I'd be interested in making a smaller-mammal sort of character to pal around with yours. Who knows what kind of mischief they could get into!
