Premise:
The Ennai horses are an old herd, nomads for generations, and encompass a good deal of family groups that are all a part of the larger herd itself. The Ennai are more of a company of kin, and a herd compromised of family units until they decide to move elsewhere; they then become the massive herd that thunders on the hillsides. They often go where they want, when they want, and most times bring with them a better hunting season for predators, and protective numbers for herbivores, birds, and other manner of creatures. They also bring with them stories and the wisdom of other lands and species, as the Ennai are peaceful and many times neutral in their nature, and thus they treat many creatures with respect and curiosity. The Ennai Herd is very family oriented, and they protect their own with fierce determination; however, if someone is lost to predators or otherwise, that is often taken as the will of the Gods. The horses have a tendency to flow and to take things in stride. Many times, the horses prize a good sense of wisdom and reason. Sometimes contests of these skills are held, be they for weaving tales, outwitting another, or just general conversation that may get a little too in-depth. Sometimes games are taken to a physical level as well, children often having rather Olympian-like contests, adults sometimes joining in.
As a group, they are not easily angered, though individuals are as vastly different as day and night. For example, if you make enemies of one horse, the others may not take the same grudges. Ranks among the herd are created by an innate pecking order, or by general consensus of respect. All are equal in concept, though the ranks of respect lie among the horses themselves. The traditional ways herald that the elders and lead stallion are those to most highly respect. The Ennai welcome new family; mares and children are always welcome, as are elders and other peaceful herbivores. Young stallions are taken in depending on the judgement of the lead stallion.
Discipline is not often an issue, but when called upon, punishment for traitors or disobedience is strict. Many times, the guilty parties are merely exiled from the herd. The Ennai run a tight ship, even if they may not seem to at times.
Wisdom, reason, folk, and family; the Ennai are about community and equality in many forms.
Currently:
Led by the large stallion Odgerel, the Ennai currently make berth in the plains areas and the hilly plateaus. Odgerel runs his herd with diligence and intelligence, as well as a humorous mix of personal curiosity. Odgerel has been lead stallion for quite a few years now, and his name and quiet nature are known throughout the tales of the modern Ennai. Having taken the herd from the iron grip of the previous stallion Galjin, the fight itself was nigh-historical in the tales of the Ennai itself. Odgerel now takes care of his kin, a strong, wise, and often quiet leader, his mares and their children are at peace and follow him in his careful leadership.
Looking For:
Mares (Preferably ONE lead mare/head mate.)
Young Stallions (At most, 4.)
Foals
Allies in the forms allowed (birds/herbies/etc.)
